Just feeling thankful to the venue/programme staff member who defended my right to be able to sit where I chose to, last night, from the person next to me who was trying to hold the seats for his friends.
First came, first seated kinda thing.

Just saw a video about someone getting harassed to leave their airplane window seat they had paid for and not even the crew defended her... Made me feel extra thankful for the venue staff.

Instead of getting into individual categories, you focused on finding if the absolute necessary items were covered by high yielding account (like a second account with limited funds?) What did those statistics values like mean and median tell? I suppose you need a few months' data to plot those.

@discobeez@mas.to That is really interesting and quite a long term forecast of sorts. So once the surprise bumps are smoothed out by transferring expected expenses the other stuff is usual and "accounted" for. Does this transferred amount have a usage expiry timeline like if the glasses could be bought a little later or tires are fine beyond this date then repurpose the funds for something else? I have my first set of glasses since I first got told "no the fonts are not small" and that's all B(

How does an expense tracker help you and how particular are you about correctly categorizing your expenses, how small an expense do you record and how often do you revisit and revise your overall or category specific budgets? What's your fun budget or safety buffer percentage like?

Somehow I feel in the conversations about working hours and other hours we don't bring up the culture of "extra curricular" outings. Whether it be for a meal or a day or a stretched weekend.
Some of us have been used to going for outings governed by elders since school and I realise we still follow the same etiquette and decorum with management when in reality it's just a suffocating wasted number of hours where doing anything else at all without the microscope judgement of management is much

more relaxing than what the outing was meant to be. Yes small teams were an exception. Years back there was space for people to be nice enough to each other or maybe it was just complacency on my part being snug in my comfort zone. But if I could have not gone for so many outings and stood my ground, I would have loved it much more #rant
