@computersandblues @jackperkins @postmarketOS We didn't, those are third-party projects we just ship. Waydroid runs Android in a container and is the most compatible, Android Translation Layer (ATL) takes a more Wine-like approach and is more WIP still but powerd Newpipe on Flathub.

@organicmaps _Please_ use Transitous for this data. Sure you don't have to let them calculate the route, but at least use their data rather than fetching and parsing GTFS feeds yourself! These kind of projects have to work together rather than doing the same work again.

@yanndegat@piaille.fr @agnes007@mastodon.social @z3ntu@fosstodon.org The kernel is published, it's GPL after all, and Fairphone doesn't have the rights to open-source the proprietary Android userland drivers. The FP5 and FP6 are as well supported as possible with the few developers that have worked on it so far. The only thing Fairphone _could_ do is spend developer time on mainlining the thing, but I don't think that's a worthwhile endeavour for them at the moment. Anyhow this is the wrong thread to ask that question.

You're free to not use it, but you could be happy that some people are at least trying to break the duopoly. Also, calling does work for a bunch of devices. Sure, not for all of them, but it's getting there. Let's work together on a better world rather than just negativity on people actively trying to improve things.

We willen alle bestaande industrie en vervoer elektrificeren en dat zie ik echt niet gebeuren zonder nucleaire energie. Het moet natuurlijk niet andere schone energie (zon, wind) tegenwerken maar zonder gaan we het niet halen.
