A (user-generated) comment on an article by The Independent about Christine Dawood and the tragic and horrific loss of her close family. I can't even begin to imagine what she's been through and I respect how much it must have taken for her to speak out about it at all.

Reading manifestos for the coming #ScottishElection2026, and I got a little bit distracted by the #ScottishFamilyParty's #chatbot and had some fun with it.

It emphasised the importance of Scottish culture so I asked it for its favourite Scottish band or artist (no answer).

It brought up the importance of #ScottishGaelic, so I (with the help of #GoogleTranslate) asked it some slightly curveball questions, which it appeared to interpret correctly, though it answered in English.

I don't think #SatoshiNakamoto's identity matters that much, especially today - #Bitcoin is a rudimentary early #cryptocurrency that has become depleted and extremely energy-intensive, though it was undoubtedly a hugely significant step in the field in its day.

Things have moved on and there are plenty cryptocurrencies which address these issues, many developed by known individuals, which Satoshi, whoever they are, has as much control over as I do.
