mastodon 4.7.2Analysis reveals significant Pictish DNA in my genetic matrix. This probably offers important insight into my life and soul, but as with everything Pictish, no-one knows what.
Was devo-max in 2014. Now I'm Yes.

My God. What a genius move, to have such a powerful performer bust out that monologue on the fly during an intervew. Hats off to the camera operators and director as well, who shot it so well. The in-house audience will probably remember that experience forever.
Thanks for sharing it!

That service has been targeted for de facto elimination every day since it was founded. I think that says more about this era of history than just about anything else.

It's my opinion as a linguist that "more" is about 90% of this girl's vocabulary.

Apple cables are absolute crap. I've had devices that I couldn't use anymore for no other reason than the cable disintegrated and I couldn't find one in better shape on eBay.

His Marxist analysis of Christmas (Hogswatchnight, in his world) was also genius. Man knew his economics.
In a minute he's going to schlorp between those cushions like April slush and vanish from sight.

Hey, don't forget the US Department of Just... erm... Something, which redacted all the names of the suspects in the Epstein files and released them with all the presumed victims intact. And has never, to this day, interviewed any of them on any topic. Or even compiled a contact list of them.
Americans have a queer notion of justice.

'Course they'll pee on your head. Some years ago I read about a guy who studied chimpanzees in the wild this way. His subjects much enjoyed hanging out on the roof of his cage, where they could study the bald ape inside at close quarters and to their heart's content.
And also poop and pee at will, without having to leave off their research.

Those of us who remember the Cold War are well-familiar with this principle, and the idea of the Third Way, or Non-Alignment, in which other nations can elect to remain outside the US/USSR football game and tighten relations with each other.

Nothing useful to contribute, but just wanted to say that as a fifth-generation resident of Washington State, I support pomologists on principle.

Point of order: it's actually just an everyday crime. Murder, to be specific.
This is not a military action; it's just killing people. No different than a bunch of American soldiers entering a bar somewhere in some country the US is not at war with and opening fire on the patrons.
They'd be murderers, just like anybody else.

Point taken, but it's still not a war crime. There is no war, and the targets are civilians who haven't been accused of being belligerents in a war. (Let alone determined to be by due process, but I think we both know that's a principle only found in the past now.)
So that at least makes the officials who ordered these hits common murderers, and possibly those who carried them out, under established strictures against following illegal orders.

A dangerously large number of people don't understand the difference between principle and justification. In principle, smart people are highly suspicious of AI. This does not equal justification for hurting individuals who are interested in it, or believe it has positive applications.
Some cultures have a greater problem than others with this seeming (though false) contradiction. Those with a missionary "we're number 1" founding myth are the worst.
