1.Enjoyed a day in #NYC after the rain moved out; humid, but the usual summer stench was washed away.
Dinner at #CafeMogador in the East Village. Decent Moroccan cuisine. Recomended.
Saw #ElizabethBougerol at #Joe’sPub . An intimate show, celebrating #TonyBennett 100th b'day.
Bonus: We got a #FlatTire after leaving the parking garage. #AAA arrived quickly, changed it & adjusted pressure in the spare. We made it home late, but safe and sound.
Yay! Just snagged a ticket to see 'El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego 'at the Met on Saturday. It's a new production and looks to be a colorful and entertaining story. #Opera #MetropolitanOpera

But broken? Nope
2. Warm, late afternoon sunshine after a cloudy, showery day. Spent the afternoon on the sofa, reading and listening to a performance of Tosca on YT.

I should never admit when things are going well. I had a productive week & felt an extra spring in my step while walking the dog, grateful for feeling, dare I say, happy. Then I went to the gym but got careless and dropped a 45lb plate on my foot. OUCH! but I finished most of my routine. Driving home, working the clutch hurt like hell. Now I have a swollen, painful toe, likely broken. Ice, Advil and elevation for a couple days. It isn't pretty. I'll spare you all the pictures.

1. Stayed #home all day
2. Chilly rain after a few too-warm-too-soon days. Celebrated with a Hot Honey (Barenjaeger liqueur & bourbon) with my honey.
3. Finished consolidating my #Mastodon accounts here at #GardenState. Severed ties with former, flaky server plagued by poor response & inaccessibility. Cleaned up contacts, many of whom the old server no longer sent updates. Maybe something got cluged when they migrated to different servers?
