Tense moments in cat box olympics. The NH contingent made his move into the 6"x8" category, but seemed to hit a wave of self doubt after sticking the landing. We thought it was all over as he faced down the 3"x3' mega mini challenge, but the judges seem impressed with his flying horizontal flattening feline technique.

Down to -4°F (-20C), a good time to use infrared camera and look for cold spots. Biggest culprits are around doors and aroue electric panel. The way to read this, since it's not a fixed scale, is to look at top and bottom of graph on the right to see what a particular photo's temperature range is. For example the first photo goes from 63.9 down to 48.6, while the second one is 56 to 31. 🧵 1/2 #EnergyEfficiency

Here's is a javascript browser bookmarklet to get rid of YT tracking variables and make a nice short url for sharing. I'd been doing this manually, but clicking a bookmark is much easier.

For anyone trying to photograph aurora w/iphone and iOS 26, tap the photo button in photo app and you'll get this popup. You'll get Night Mode button *if* you are in darkish area (too bright, Apple hides it). First tap is 3 seconds, second sets 10s exposure. If you put phone on some kind of tripod or stand so it is still, then you can tap Timer and depending on darkness, timer setting, and fickle programmers you can get 20 or 30 seconds for night mode.
Turn off your flash. ';^)
