Aluksen hämähäkki Kaarina ei tykkää kun purjehditaan. Silloin otetaan puomipeite pois ja päiväunet keskeytyvät. Kaarina viettää päivät pakatun isopurjeen laskoksissa. Pleased to meet Brick the Jumping Spider! I thought she was dying, that I had lain her to rest in the soil. But she revived and now sits underneath the succulent leaves. Named because I found her injured on the patio bricks, barely moving. She let me hand her a stick to climb, she grabbed it and moved onto it immediately but then remained motionless. I put her in this pot, something was moist on her head, so I thought the worst. But about an hour later she started moving around the pot, then came out and let me look her over. In fact she wasn't afraid of me at all, moving around and cleaning off whatever blood or whatever it was off her face. A leg injury maybe? I easily took a few pics as she cleaned and regained her strength. And wow the green mandibles are just stunning. #garden #spider #jumpingspider

I gave it this already dead wasp and it rushed out and held onto it. I felt bad but it gave me a really good view of its face, look at those sharp fangs #arachnid #spider #segestria

アシダカグモのオス こちらの気配に気づいていたかどうかわからないけど、30cmぐらいの距離に近づいても微動だにしなかった（警戒されていたのかもしれない） メスと比べると小さいけれど、徘徊性のハンターとしての迫力はやはり見事だなと思いながらしみじみ眺めさせてもらった #マストドン写真部 #マストドン生物部 #蜘蛛 #spider #photography

Unrequited spider love This is a pair of flea jumping spiders (Naphrys pulex). I found the male first, on a pine tree, and he led me to the female. He was on the hunt for a mate, but she was more interested in a meal than company Ultimately, he lived to woo another day, so I'd still call it a win #spider #spiders #MacroPhotography

I stopped to take a picture of some vetch on this morning's hike and discovered this pretty little goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia) had made the flowers her home. She was pretty active and camera shy, which is why the first picture is so much darker-- it was the only one she let me get of her face, and she had moved to the shady side of the flowers. #SpiderSunday #spider #TinyWildlife

That could have been fun. Happened to check my crisp multipack to see how many were left instead of just sticking my hand in. Saw a spider! Decanted the bugger outside to realise it was a False Widow! Painful snackage averted! 😱🕷 #Spider #Arachnid #Wildlife #Nature
