@sundogplanets@mastodon.social Meanwhile, German book distributors "Tredition" and "Epubli" apparently plan to write into their contracts they'll feed anybody's manuscripts into US LLM slop plagiarism machines now, whether the writers want to or not. Heute haben wir bei RHEDS den ersten echten End-to-End-Publish geschafft. 🎆 Aus einer einfachen Bitte – „Mach mir davon ein PDF.“ – wurde eine komplette Open-Source-Publishing-Architektur. #Autor_innenLeben Früher hieß es oft in Selfpublisher-Kreisen: "Du brauchst unbedingt Amazon. Am besten auch Kindle Unlimited!" Und ich sehe immer noch viele Leute, die diese Idee hochhalten. Und sich exklusiv an Kindle Unlimited binden. Tja, was soll ich sagen, ich habe im vergangenen Monat mehr E-Books via Tolino Media verkauft, als seit Monaten auf Amazon. Tolino Media läuft echt gut für mich, schon seit Längerem. Kann ich empfehlen. #selfpublishing

Mein Distributor oder wie ich die nennen soll, hat vor einiger Zeit seine Tätigkeit eingestellt und mir meine Buchdaten als InDesign-Dateien zugeschickt. Die ich mangels Programm natürlich nicht öffnen kann. Kann man daraus lesbare Dateien machen? Zugeschickt hatte ich ihnen damals wie verlangt fertig gesetzte PDFs. Wenn ich die Bücher wieder veröffentlichen möchte, muss ich ja wahrscheinlich die Maße und ggf. andere Parameter anpassen. #Selfpublishing #buch
