I recently finished a book about Wayfinding. Not about signs and arrows, but about how our brain functions. It was a fascinating read and I realised cycling ticks a lot of the boxes if you want to maintain a healthy brain. A solid #OttBike adventure with the kids today: 🚲 On the KZM, enjoying the wide space. 🚲 Behind Parliament, finally open again! 🚲 Made them haul their bikes across the locks. 🏊❌ Considered swimming at East Wharf but some floating garbage turned them off it. 🚲 Alexandra Bridge! 🏊🏊🏊 Swam at the history museum docks, had a blast. 🚲 Biked along the north shore for a bit, crossed back (Chaudiere to the Zibi park pathway with the MUP bridge behind the war museum) 🌭 Had lunch at Remic Rapids, there was a band playing in the park beside the patio 🎵 🚲 Biked home along the Ottawa River Pathway. 20+ km on their little legs (plus a good amount of swimming). Super impressed.

The bolt holding the bike seat to the post sheared off today, making the seat flip back as I was riding. Pretty scary and also an odd fail for the bolt. Thought @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org might find it interesting! #biketooter #bikes #ottbike

Late June, we biked to the south end of Orléans from Nepean. i'm looking for an Android app or website that uses OpenStreetMap and will not only give me a bike route with elevation, but tell me where the peaks and valleys are, and has an option for routing with the flattest land. does such a thing exist? i swear i saw something like that at some point but now i can't find it. #OpenStreetMap #OttBike #Cycling

Hello #Ottawa #ottbike crowd. I have a couple of fixed six-loop bike racks to sell. They are unused and were in storage as spares before I acquired them. $150 each or $225 for both. Pick up is preferred, but I am planning to buy a trailer, so I may be able to deliver later in July.
