Mexico is solving its housing crisis. Why isn't Canada? "Canada and Mexico once appeared to be travelling the same housing road. Both dismantled public housing capacity, empowered private developers, and transformed homes into financial assets. It's nice to see that products I remember from the 1990s are still in production, assuming they are the same formulae. I honestly don't trust any company anymore, not even the ones which have been in business for over a century, because in the modern era, #neoliberalism #neofeudalism has destroyed trust and integrity.

Conservatives and liberals all serve capital now, and the things that we want: universal healthcare, public education, public services, etc. don't matter to them in their pursuit to privatize everything so the few at the top can make even more money. #Neoliberalism

The feds are spending $61B on military in Edmonton. Likely this investment is partially to protect Refinery Row. Perhaps the oilmen should pay some of the costs of protecting their infrastucture? Low-interest after the 2008 crash and resulting possibility of quantitative easing ( #QE) could have been used both as helicopter money and for wage-intensive public investment such as houses. The UK housing crisis could have been eliminated, with huge consequential gains. But the LibDem breakthrough coincided with -#OrangeBook #neoliberalism, and Clegg missed the moment.:An epochal failure.

How can one separate those who have power with those that have wealth, neither have the one without some of the other. Neither are more or less the elite, and desperately need each other to be the elite.

But predator class is a good proposal, even though we don't all perceive as the "elite" being better than us, just the material realization they are wealthier and more powerful than us.

If this doesn't call for re-theorizing on class and its defilition, I don't know what does.
