The idea behind the DMA is that digital markets should be open, contestable and fair. At present, however, the DMA seems to be treated as little more than a proposal. #Europa macht sich digital unabhängiger #Wero ist ein europäischer Echtzeit-Bezahldienst und eine Alternative zu US-Anbietern wie PayPal, Apple Pay und Google Pay. Das Geld wird innerhalb weniger Sekunden direkt von Konto zu Konto überwiesen. Seit dem 24. Juli 2026 ist #Wero bei #Lidl.de verfügbar. Lidl ist damit der erste Lebensmittelhändler in Deutschland, der Wero einführt. Die Bezahlung ist derzeit über 18 teilnehmende Banken möglich. Für mich ist das ein weiterer Schritt, mich endgültig von PayPal zu lösen, das ich ohnehin immer seltener nutze. Danach könnt ihr schrittweise auf #Linux umsteigen, #Firefox mit #uBlock Origin und/oder Brave nutzen, zu #Posteo oder #mailbox.org wechseln, #Matrix statt WhatsApp & Co. verwenden und schließlich eine eigene Cloud, zum Beispiel Nextcloud, betreiben. Das muss nicht alles auf einmal passieren: Schritt für Schritt macht es Spaß – und man lernt dabei noch etwas dazu. Das Ganze kostet je nach Bedarf nur ein paar Euro im Monat. Dafür bezahlt ihr nicht mit euren Daten und seid großen Anbietern aus den USA oder China nicht ausgeliefert.

@elminuto@punkstodon.de Ich bin ja vor ein paar Jahren, auf Empfehlung, bei, der damals Berliner Firma, easybell gelandet und bis jetzt sehr zufrieden. Leider haben die sich nach Brüssel verkauft und sind sehr KI lästig. Ich hoffe jetzt sehr auf #WEtell und #mailbox, das dort ein Angebot entsteht zum wechseln. https://www.easybell.de/

Mailbox.org price increase: https://mailbox.org/en/news/plan-adjustment-2026/ After Hetzner, another big German IT service provider is raising their prices. Existing customers just got this: "As a valued existing customer, you benefit from a transition period until 31 August 2026. Until then, you can keep your current price for the years ahead by extending your subscription. The more subscription time you add, the longer you will continue to use mailbox at your current price. Microsoft 365 an Schulen ist keine gute Idee Kurz nachdem bekannt geworden ist, dass Microsoft in Österreich illegal Schüler trackt, kündigt die Stadt Hannover an, Microsoft 365 an Schulen einführen zu wollen. Doch Bildung braucht digitale Sicherheit. Und Schüler haben ein Recht auf Privatsphäre und digitale Selbstbestimmung.
