#OperationProtectiveEdge, a 2014 #GazaWar, was launched on #ThisDayInHistory following some #Hamas rocket attacks, in turn retaliation for an assassination. By its end late in August, 2189 #Palestinians had been killed, mostly civilians, in over 1700 Israeli air & ground attacks.
