Hey internet. I'm looking for a webhoster to get my new website up and running. I'm using a static site generator, so no PHP, database or other shenanigans needed. Just files on a webserver (that I don't have to manage myself). I'm aware of most of the obvious options (GH pages, CF pages, GL pages, Vercel, Netlify, etc. etc.) but I'd prefer a small-ish non-VC non-AI company/org, ideally European. Any recommendations? Man kann ja ausschalten, die boosts von einzelnen Accounts anzuzeigen. Kann man auch einstellen, dass man toots nicht angezeigt bekommt, wenn sie von mehreren Kontakten geboostet werden? Also statt einen toot 15 mal zu sehen im Tagesvetluf, würde ich den dann nur noch 1 mal oder 2 mal sehen. #fediask

My partner has a PC running Ubuntu. Recently, It hadn't used the computer for a few days, and everything was fine before that. Upon returning to use it, the computer doesn't turn on the first time, and a hard reset doesn't help. It have to completely disconnect computer from power and turn it back on; then it takes 2-3 attempts to boot up. Any ideas what might be going on? Question for other EU-based online shop owners: How are you going to deal with the upcoming EU PPWR packaging legislation changes[1] and specifically requiring a third party legal person/entity in every single EU member state you want to ship to after August 12, potentially having to contract & pay another EU-wide one-stop service or up to 26 middlemen just so are allowed to ship all EU countries? What happened to the idea of a single market? Some of the "cheaper" offers I found provide conformity declaration and authorized representatives for 1000 Euro per year, yet another cost-of-doing-business fee for ever increasing bureaucracy demands... The law has no exceptions/provisions for small indy shops/providers... Any links/insights/tips you can share? #fediask #duckduckfedi #mastoart #art #artistsonmastodon folks i need like real honest reviews/suggestions ig. i've looked into art station alternatives (i need a portfolio site, not a blogging platform like i do on mastodon) and i've found ArtFol, Artgram and Cara. so, which you'd say are no-no, which are better, what are pros n cons etc? like, i mean, ethically too cuz i dont wanna support some bigots or algorithms ('tis why am not on art station for example). also if u know other platforms which act more like portfolio (aye, art station kinda style ig) - pls lmk! i was looking into toyhouse but it seems to be a closed platform and requires invitation plus without having an account i couldnt even explore it...

Werte #Migräne-Bubble: Ich las schon mal, dass Leute die Antikörper-Spritzen über viele Jahre nehmen - mir sagte man ursprünglich 1 - 2 Jahre. Nach schwach 2 Jahren deutlich weniger häufig Migräne, ich würde das ungern aufs Spiel setzen. Gibts Erfahrungen und Studien darüber, sie länger zu nehmen? Liebe Leute, ich suche gerade #Wasserkefir Kristalle. Unser Wasserkefir hat irgendwas nicht verkraftet und ich vermisse dieses leckere Getränk sehr.
