Hmm, but why don't the / #HTML elements support style or class attributes? Would be way more useful than just width. I suppose I could do it with plain #CSS using tr > .nth-child(x), but then as far as I know I have to re-implement all the markup for various width breakpoints.

Oh man, why can't Firefox and Safari support scroll-state stuck? I've got something working really nicely and don't want to have to use JS 😭 #css

The CSS Working Group has published a First Public Working Draft of CSS Linked Parameters Module Level 1. This spec introduces a way to pass CSS values into linked resources, such as SVG images, so that they can be used as CSS custom environment variables in the destination resource. This allows easy reuse of "templated" SVG images, which can be adapted to a site’s theme color, etc. easily, without having to modify the source SVG. https://www.w3.org/news/2026/first-public-working-draft-css-linked-parameters-module-level-1/ #CSS #SVG #WebStandards

💡 CSS Tip! After corner-shape, shape(), and border-shape, another feature is available to play with: rounding polygons. https://css-tip.com/rounded-shapes/ You create a polygon, add a radius value at the beginning, and you have a shape with rounded corners! #CSS #HTML

Staring down the barrel of "nobody knows how to do anything without #JavaScript any more". All I want to do is make my #ebook readable in a web-browser. Do I have to make _everything_ myself!? No fancy UI-styling yet but there's nothing stopping me providing widgets for changing light/dark theme, colours, fonts, line-spacing -- you name it -- no JavaScript needed. Nothing to install, no Python script, no build system; it's just an #HTML + #CSS file. WHY IS THIS A LOST ART!?? #javascript #ebook #html #css #worldglass #webdev #nojs

I am cooking. #HTML + #CSS. No JS. No images (the icons are text, including the line-spacing icons which are three em-dashes with different line-spacing) Yes, you can select the font-face, font-size and line-spacing with the buttons, without #javascript. Every paragraph is numbered so you can easily remember where you were. Just need to add theme selection. #worldglass #webdev #writing
