Jos yhdistät LG:n näytön Windows-tietokoneeseen, asentuu koneeseen automaattisesti LG:n sovellus, joka näyttää mainoksia Puhtaasti adwareksi leimattu sovellus saa itselleen täydet käyttöoikeudet (mutta ei ylläpito-oikeuksia), koska sen asentuminen käyttää mekanismia, joka on oikeasti varattu ajureiden ja tärkeiden laitehallintasovellusten asennukseen. Okay, LISTEN UP DO NOT BUY LG. Not ANYTHING LG. Not only are they actively spying on you, not only have they updated their TOS to include requiring you to NOTIFY GUESTS ABOUT WIRETAPPING LAW, on Windows they're pushing ADWARE through WINDOWS UPDATE along with their monitor drivers - including on OLD monitors. ⚠️ DO NOT BUY: LG’s Spyware TVs, Monitors, and Wiretapping Concerns

The attached #video details the absolute #privacy horror of LG #television and #monitor products, that install #adware without consent, have #AI integration, and a horrible privacy policy..

LG recently forced upon us an app install loaded with #McAfee adware through a #Windows update. We found that this has been happening to tons of users, made worse by LG's shady history with #TV's that instruct buyers to inform house visitors of third-party microphones in their living room. At no point in the adware or application install did LG or Microsoft ask us for consent or permission to install the software and enable its various permissions. On monitors ranging 1 day old in our office to 3 years old, we've been able to replicate these issues -- including on the LG 34GX900A-B that we just bought (and have now returned, following #spyware concerns).

Option 1: Don't buy LG Option 2: Don't buy LG displays, especially if you are running Windows At this point, I don't know what the experience is on newer LG TVs where you do not connect it to the Internet via any means (wireless or wired). I have C1 OLED where it's never been on the Internet since being unboxed at home. There are no nags when trying to use basic functionality such as switching between inputs and channels. From #GamersNexus: “DO NOT BUY: LG’s Spyware TVs, Monitors, and Wiretapping Concerns” It’s long been established that LG TVs spy on their owners: reporting what’s on screen, and reporting about what’s in attached file systems. Now, LG monitors exploit the Windows driver installation system to install #spyware and #adware. As well as expanding #surviellance from TVs to monitors, the #malware is currently primarily advertising subscription software from supposed anti-malware company McAfee. The terms imposed by LG after the sale purport that the owner of the TV consents not only to collection and resale of data about screen contents and files, but also that the owner and everyone else in the room consents to audio recordings of their voices being sent to LG and resold from them to #AI and #advertising companies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9uefFYe6bM
