From #GamersNexus: “It’s Time to Poison AI.” Steve reports on the necessity and means of #dataPoisoning to impose negative value in defence against nonconsensual LLM data scraping. Thanks, Steve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WP6kEO3i8g #noAI

never in all my days did I think I'd have anything nice to say about noted felon & corrupt as shit Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton but homie filed a suit against LG for spyware in 2024 LG captures TV images every 500ms and transmits it back to sell the information for profit. They also have been force-installing adware through their computer monitor software (Windows only, I would imagine) great stuff as usual from #GamersNexus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9uefFYe6bM

From #GamersNexus: “DO NOT BUY: LG’s Spyware TVs, Monitors, and Wiretapping Concerns” It’s long been established that LG TVs spy on their owners: reporting what’s on screen, and reporting about what’s in attached file systems. Now, LG monitors exploit the Windows driver installation system to install #spyware and #adware. As well as expanding #surviellance from TVs to monitors, the #malware is currently primarily advertising subscription software from supposed anti-malware company McAfee. The terms imposed by LG after the sale purport that the owner of the TV consents not only to collection and resale of data about screen contents and files, but also that the owner and everyone else in the room consents to audio recordings of their voices being sent to LG and resold from them to #AI and #advertising companies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9uefFYe6bM

Privacy or Security ? Too many hardware and software companies are forcing consumers to choose one or the other. This is a false choice. Choose security and they install malware that erodes your privacy. Choose privacy, and they compromise your security, which ultimately destroys your privacy anyway. An excellent investigation by Gamers Nexus. Smart devices should be banned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9uefFYe6bM #UsersAreFodder #greed #BadTechnology #EvilCompanies #LG #GamersNexus #SmartTech

They’re just making Linux desktop more attractive every day and they can’t stop themselves from being terrible #gamersnexus #lg #malware

Replying to @CharlieMcHenry@connectop.us
@CharlieMcHenry@connectop.us It's substantially about AI, but it's also about the RAM cartel taking advantage. (In years past it's specifically been convicted in court of being a cartel, so this a legal judgment, not just an opinion.) Here's Gamer's Nexus talking about the history of the RAM cartel and how it's making things worse now if you want to give it the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVzeHTlWIDY (Honestly, GN is doing some of the best documentary reporting in tech right now.) #GamersNexus #RAMcartel
