We in #Ontario need to start having similar protests!

#DougFord and Health Minister #SylviaJones (who does not have a Medical Degree or any prior Medical policy experience, she's John Tory's former Executive Assistant and has a technical college diploma in Radio Broadcasting!) have been hollowing out our healthcare system too.

We need to push back against the privatization and two-tierification of our medical system.

This is raising more questions than they think!

It amazes me that #American's do not understand the apology that Iran gave to other Gulf states.

I do not support the Iranian Theocratic Regeim! I'm only speaking to the cultural differences around the interpretation of an apology!

USians have such a one-dimensional view of what an apology is:

Sorry, I'll stop!

There are far more meanings of what an apology can be!

For example, a doctor could apologize to a patient before giving them a shot: "Sorry, this is going to hurt"

Or, a contractor apologizing to a home owner: "Sorry, we're going to have to tear up your lawn to replace the pipe"

In the case of the Iranians, their "Apology" to the other gulf states was that they may be collaterally hit as they targeted American and Israeli targets.

Again, not saying I support Iran, but that is the reality of modern warfare, particularly as the Americans have assets all over the Middle East, which is why sensible leaders do ALL THEY CAN to avoid War, as frustrating and drawn out as that can be!

#DougFord is building a Chuck-E-Cheese style grift with his "#Ontario Elementary Teachers Resource Portal", with him or his donors poised to be the one hand to out high margin tat to #Teachers.

Like with his #Recycling #Privatization, it'll end up costing taxpayers more and we'll be worse for it, but he and his donors will get $$$!

Instead of just sending teachers an Electronic Fund Transfer*, which would be the cheaper, faster, more secure method, and provides customers to local stores, he's setting up a portal where teachers will spend Ford Bucks at the Ford Supply Store.

Where a teacher might spend $5 for a box of markers at their local store, they'll instead spend 5 Ford Bucks to get it from a central facility.

But those markers will eventually be stocked at a cost to taxpayers of $10/pack, and that's where he'll profit!

The local store loses $5 revenue and eventually closes.

*Ford sent COVID Cheques instead of EFTs b/c he wanted to bribe voters with their money during a crisis.

In the run-up to the 2024 US election I was driving through Chicago and along the interstate someone had put up a big sign reading "REMEMBER WHEN GAS WAS $2 A GALLON? VOTE TRUMP!"

I wonder where that fellow is now...

Most of the #Toronto Police Officers who were arrested on allegations of corruption were from 11 & 12 division, with a comprehensive investigation underway likely to find more. The #DougFord family is known to have tight connections with the #TorontoPoliceService, trying to appoint his pal Supt. Ron Taverner, of 22 & 23 division fame, just across the Humber river from 11 & 12 divisions, to lead the #OPP, but backtracked in light of the obvious conflict of interest. Also, we've learned there is a connection between the Internation Drug Kingpin #RyanWedding and the #TPSCorruption scandal. Meanwhile, the #RCMP is into year 3 in their investigation of the #FordAdministration for corrupt dealings related to the #GreenbeltScandal and related corrupt dealings. There's also the question of how #RobFord got in with the crowd who sold him the crack cocaine in the first place and Doug's alleged sales connections.
