#odyssey 4.5/5 The soundtrack is a master piece. So well balanced. Always there but almost never in the center of attention. The IMAX sound mix for the cave scene almost destroyed my ears though.

@outofcontrol@phpc.social @emd@cosocial.ca I would also have mentioned the kitchen timers. :D I don't own a Homepod, so controlling my lights from the wrist is nice, but that's not a deal breaker. Apple Pay on the wrist has come in handy as well a couple of times, but I still walk around with a phone. Over the summer I'm probably going to do a "1 week pause" of wearing the watch.

@emd@cosocial.ca Good question which I would like to blog about as well. I think just my outlook on tech in general and the diminishing returns of wearing the watch for almost 8 years now. I know where my strengths and weaknesses are. I know how much calories I burn on average (though the watch seems to be inaccurate anyway?). I really want to do a test week of not wearing the watch anymore. But I know I would miss my gym-tracking app (Strong & Hevy).

@emd@cosocial.ca Apple Watch S9. Used to be a total fan boy and wore it 24/7 and had like a 500 day streak of closing rings all the time. Now I don’t care that much abkut tracked calories and activity minutes. I still go to the gym 5 times a week, but I don’t use the watch as the measure on how good the workout was. I‘m also sleeping better since I don’t wear it anymore. Maybe a placebo effect; started doing that only 2 weeks ago.

Yeah a tutorial could be written by an AI, but it wouldn't explain with screenshots from a real product how it is used. Or that you built it this way because you had good discussions with peers.
