The best form of missile defence is to not have all your neighbours shooting missiles at you.
Then, you need to intercept 99.999%. Israel barely breaks 90%.

@sashag@anarres.family it's something I struggle with, even cis. I'm not fem, I know that, definitely masc, but my life is softer, gentler; looking after kids, cooking, shopping, stuff like that.
I'm always conscious that my masculinity can harm others in an instant so I try to mitigate it; cross the road at night when I see a woman on their own, so I'm not following her, no creepy long stares at women, and I smile, all the time, because apparently men don't do that 🙄

If there's anything we can learn from the current AI slopfest it's that prescriptive learning, testing, and assignments, are useless now.
The only way to assess students is what my father fought his career in the ILO to introduce: instructor lead learning with continual assessment.
No tests, no assignments, just someone assisting your learning and assessing your progress as you go. Not to fail you, but to help you learn better

If not, it's at the bargain bins at EB Games, or the like, so the kids can get their favourite anime/gaming/etc t-shirts (and I can too!).
Unfortunately, it takes (near)poverty to live like this
