I have contemplated installing a thermometer on the side of the shed that I can see from the house, and clearly that would really simplify things.

I'm going to open the front door and see whether I feel unphased or appalled.

Drew an alchemical tile to indicate an energetic focus or method to use until the next turn of the wheel: iron. Iron is one of the seven metals, is associated with Mars, the third chakra and the process of Separation.

For the nth time since we cleaned out the family house in Seattle a few years back, my younger sibling asked if I had this one specific Betty Crocker cookbook of Mom's. We never found it, which is kinda weird, but there you go.

I went online, found a copy in decent shape and bought it. From 1961, the illustrations are etched in my memory, but I was a teen before I realized the mustaches and goatees on the housewives were hand-drawn additions from Mom. The new one won't look exactly right.

@wffl most folks who want a really "economical" witch hat buy them from costume/masquerade stores. they are often made from a lightweight nylon fabric and have wired edges to hold their shape. What I would call a "nice" witch hat, as a costumer, is a proper hat made from sturdy felt. That will hold it's shape without being wired. A stunning array of this sort of hat can be found on Etsy.
