Food just a little out of date, equipment clean but not sanitized, employees that aren’t certified, insurance that didn’t get paid. They cut corners and I don’t trust that.

The companies recycling can’t dump toxins into the waterway for free, the optics would doom them. If you make it off shore without environmental protections and ship it in you can, though. Capitalism figured that out real quick.

Nope, they only come after your paid for the trip. FedEx uses their own delivery drivers and trucks? Nope, independent contractors do the majority of the last mile deliveries that aren’t subbed to USPS. The lack of oversight is what generates the profit.
