It is good to put a name to it.
For public services, such as welfare, it'd be enlightened for the very senior people in that service to be required each year to complete a customer facing scenario while being recorded - e.g. they're sent a letter saying they've been overpaid welfare for the last 8 years they've been a seasonal and gig worker, and need to provide details. These scenarios have written themselves and are familiar to community organisations, who could be contracted for good money to produce and administer the tests 😉

So true and frustrating, "Oh I know, instead of making progress on decarbonisation and True 0, we'll spend so much money on probabilistic text extruding machines and increase our use of fossil fuels"

Looks like it to me, but are there any actual specialists on this thread who could weigh in?
E.g. was the original installation a flagrant beach of work safety rules, and these folk are doing the right thing, or are they just taking the piss?
My money is on stalling

Fair point, some are needed. However I hope some could be made more generic, and others could be on request only, e.g. exact angle, exact GPU version etc.
I like Vivaldi and it's general approach with AI etc, but keen to be a little less distinct on the web. 😉

You've put your finger on the tone of that first paragraph perfectly.
It made me feel ill reading it, these are not serious people. Unfortunately they have serious money

Important context:
Mythos Preview’s success on one cyber range indicates that it is at least capable of autonomously attacking small, weakly defended and vulnerable enterprise systems where access to a network has been gained.
...
They lack security features that are often present, such as active defenders and defensive tooling. There are also no penalties for the model for undertaking actions that would trigger security alerts.

I've posted before that the period after his first term was so beautifully quiet, even here in Australia we were continually updated on his latest brain-farts, with next to no filter or reflection.
Looking forward to that blessed quiet again.

This, and the 'presumption of regularity' in dealing with companies such as X, mean the harm continues, while they 'respond to requests for information ' from the Australian eSafety commission. Rather than BS 'age requirements' for internet and social media, we need a way to stop the harm until sufficient response is provided. #auspol
