🧙♂️These three things, monks, are conducted in secret, not openly. What three? Affairs with women, the mantras of the brahmins, and wrong view.

@angiebaby@mas.to Incant help but think ad / tracker blockers could operate in a stealth mode, where they fool the pages into thinking their ad loaded / trackers are tracking but at best they get garbage from sandboxed API calls or something

@timzania@denton.social @SwiftOnSecurity@infosec.exchange subdirectories are so great I like each directory to have a subdirectory that is the parent of the current directory and then just for fun one that is the same as the current directory

@nomi @parkermolloy sounds similar to Robert Putnam's thesis in 'Bowling Alone' (which I haven't read but I recall hearing an interview with him about)

@Empiricism@scicomm.xyz @nafnlaus@fosstodon.org @stanstallman@sfba.social @jdp23@indieweb.social @mergerson@mastodon.social thanks… that's a pretty big lapse of moderator judgment; I don't know what the dogwhistle is supposed to be there, seems a pretty bad faith or at least ignorant report.
Proper moderation is gonna be a big question mark for the Mastodon federation. Difficult at best for well-funded monolithic corporate entities, I fear decentralization introduces more complications than mitigations.

@nafnlaus@fosstodon.org @stanstallman@sfba.social @mergerson@mastodon.social Eugen spoke of two mistakes made by the moderation team: the false-positive impersonation you mention and another case where someone was accused (incorrectly) of using a dog whistle. I haven't seen the details the second case.
It's also not certain that @mergerson@mastodon.social is only referring to these two cases, so I'd advise seeking clarification before calling it misinformation.
