On a Raspberry Pi 0W. Not even the 02W. 1 core. 512 MB. Outstanding work, can't wait to check it out and maybe run my own.

The Pi rig, with an extra wifi dongle, for reasons. No fan, honking heat sink instead.

"Miscellaneous functionality changes:
...
The sysctl interface to control CPU frequency on aarch64 now uses MHz instead of performance units. Take care to modify scripts that adjust this."
https://netbsd.org/releases/formal-11/NetBSD-11.0.html
(This may explain why my Pi4 runs so hot despite trying to crank the frequency down).

Has anyone seen a 3GB Raspberry Pi 5 in the wild? Announced on 01-April-2026 but still unlisted on the main site or any sellers I've seen.

Got an email announcing #FOSS4GNA for 2025, or maybe 2026? Did not see the location in the *text* and clicked on the link to find it's on the left coast.
#Sacramento
Then I noticed the city and state in the *image*, all curled up and hiding at the bottom of the circle.

@jalefkowit Reminds me of 1980s era video arcade machines (I once met a guy who repaired them), where there was a looping display of game action, that was called "attract mode." Sound, colored lights, high score displays. Pseudo use.
Put money in to play, or just earworm it.

@kentpitman@climatejustice.social Very cool. I remember being an undergrad doing term papers on my manual Olivetti portable typewriter (mid 1970s) while EE majors were using TECO on keypunch machines for their work. It was revolutionary.

Another Tracy Kidder winner:

And that protagonist is atypical.
