In #California State Prison, #Sacramento, there is a book club for incarcerated people. "[Library Technical Assistant Alicia] Lara has built a book club that brings people together every Friday in a place where connection might be hard to find. Since at least 2022, it’s been a place where incarcerated people can find inspiration from their peers." The book club is currently reading "Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins. https://www.cdcr.ca.gov/insidecdcr/2026/08/31/level-iv-institution-finds-community-through-book-club/ #GoodNews

Here I go with #ThreeGoodThings 1) still can’t believe I completed 51st #sketching /#drawing today—sure seems like a lot to me 2) able to quietly process and think through quite a bit while visiting my family and 3) got back to Everett safely despite #Nissan in #Everett didn’t torque drain plug enough before I took off left me unknowingly leaked oil all the way to #Sacramento. Thank goodness engine didn’t blow up before I got there. My brother-in-law tightened enough to get me back up here
