If there are no gambling ads, what will people look at on those big screens in their EVs, while they're not towing their trailers or boats, or not getting to their favourite camping spots? 🤔

$5,000 discount? Fouff!!
In my best Aussie accent:
"That's not a discount, *this* is a discount!"
From 2024 news stories about the Australian team's Olympic TT bike from Factor:
"For $97,979 you can buy a nice Mercedes, 30 ounces of gold … or the new super-bike Australia hopes will deliver medals of the same colour in Paris.
If you want to buy one it’s all yours for $97,979 but we suggest you wait until the Paris Games finish because the price is expected to drop all the way to $10,000 - a discount of almost $90,000!"

In the manual:
1) the AI features only work for 6 months, then the purchaser has to pay an extra subscription to maintain functionality.
2) the Bluetooth name is
"Anko43700141"
so that might be something to scan for if you think someone is misusing these glasses nearby.

Sorry, America is using forced labour ? 😱
But, but, but … Trump is tariffing Australia because he thinks forced labour is used in some imports. 🤔
How does this make sense?

If I can, I'll let the patch cure overnight, but I let it cure, fully inflated, installed in a tyre.
My thinking is:
1: the patch and glue will be curing in the curved, expanded shape where they'll be in use, so if there is any flexibility issues, they'll be preemptively addressed.
2: the inflation presses the patch to the tube nice and evenly
3: if there's a problem with the patch, or glue, or another puncture you didn't notice, you know because the tube didn't hold pressure overnight. Better to find this out before putting the patch to the test on a real ride.

We had a woodburning stove when I was growing up. The treatment for my asthma was early morning swimming every day until I could swim a mile. 🥶
The Dr also said that people grow out of asthma at 7 year intervals; 7, 14, 21 etc.
So, when I left home to share a flat with a mate, and lived on microwaved pizza, being 21 was *obviously* what cured my asthma 😂

Only the waterproof seals, I presume?
I was thinking of the wax seals to stop people opening envelopes, but a large pinniped laying on the envelope would probably work too. 🤔

Sandpaper on the PADS can be an interim measure if the pads are badly glazed, but rotor problems are wear (sandpaper would make it worse), bent (sandpaper would make it worse), contaminated with oil etc. (sandpaper would make it worse by spreading the contaminant around), loose (sandpaper would do nothing), or not aligned with caliper (sandpaper can't help here).
Which sorta negatively suggests:
Replace worn parts
Clean rotor and pads
Align components
Torque correctly
Bed new pads in correctly

I have 2 waxed (9 sp) chains that I swap between. I'm just coming up to 10,000 km on the bike computer, but there were some more km before it.
The chain checker is currently not showing any noticeable wear.
Prior to learning about waxing, I was eating through the chains on my old 7-speed, because of the salty water and sandy soil of the lakes I ride around.
Wearing out chains, and cassettes, and wheel bearings, and socks (from the oily chain mess stains) and oil, and rags.
Now with wax, it's just check wheel bearings and decrease if needed.
Waxed chain stays clean and lasts.

I would donate to create Don't Reflect Orbital, which puts slightly larger shading satellites into orbit slightly above/below the stupid reflectors, blocking their access to sunlight.
Are there laws yet about huge satellites having the right to whatever sunlight they want? Can the operators sue anyone whose space item occludes the sunlight falling on their panels?
Can we launch an experiment to see what happens if a load of VantaBlack is dispersed near a Reflect Orbital shiny thing?🤔

Thinking back to when I first got a (diode) laser, and wondered about things like this …🤪
I think it was: IR lasers did well browning food, blue lasers could cook through some packagings, CO2 wasn't really the best at anything, but could cook as well as any laser type when they did 3d printed foods and laser cooked each layer as they went.
Any laser could do decorative pattern cooking on the outside.😂

I've seen a few in the news here in Australia, but I don't think I've seen one personally.
I do wonder if the owners of a local cafe know the possible interpretation of the white-painted bike they place outside as an advertising item? 🤔

I thought my 2013 Yaris being on 87k was being treated gently.🤯
Ever since I started changing the tyres (on my bicycle 🤪) more regularly, I've dropped to about 600km driving per year.

"We" is currently people who grew up before AI, and saw what humans can create.
If AI hangs on long enough, and gets pervasive enough, a generation will come along with a very different baseline, and they will think AI is amazing. 😢
