The pc-x86_64-smp build remains experimental with incomplete bare-metal drivers, but the scheduler and high-core support are clearly advancing. Integration into stable ABIv11 (led by Deadwood) would be a major step.

This builds on Kalamatee’s important SMP fixes, including removing the old crash limit beyond 16 cores/threads (proven on 32C/64T in VirtualBox). High-core VM tests like this help harden the code.

AROS pc-x86_64-smp hit a milestone: it booted with 128 virtual cores in QEMU and ran llama.cpp local AI inference.
A small ~15M model was tested with strict CPU affinity — all to push the experimental SMP scheduler hard.
Slightly over-the-top, yet a serious test of progress.

GhostBSD 26.1-R15.0p2 is now available, & this is one of our biggest releases yet. We are moving to FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE, switching the default shell to zsh, and adopting XLibre as the default display server.

NetworkMGR now supports Enterprise WPA (802.1X/EAP) and WireGuard. Update Station gains boot environment-based major version upgrade support. Software Station gets faster package search. And the desktop ships with a new wallpaper, updated icon themes, and new theme variants.

New York is actively sabotaging its own economy.
Last year, Governor Hochul praised 3D-printed houses being built on Long Island
Now the state is pushing a bill that requires ALL 3D printers (even industrial machines) to be sold in-person only — no online orders, no shipping allowed
This will hurt manufacturers, product designers, and any company using 3D printing for prototyping or production
You can’t support the technology with one hand and strangle it with the other
