@janl@narrativ.es @neighbourhoodie@toot.berlin I would ask for you to take up the challenge of making a project that works on the user machine only, and draws webpages visually. Have a look at the project on my profile. I would like to see a graphical drawing program, web-based, vanilla, made specifically for the user with no external dependencies. Maybe it's something to think about?

Multi-Language is better. Remember when Mastodon had all of those languages?... and then you could just translate them easily and respond? We had at least twice as many potential interactions, good times. Here's how to make it that way again, just in case you didn't notice. If you don't choose any, then it uses your browser default language only. Solution: Select them all. The image alt text has a mild tutorial. #multilingual #mastodon #fediverse #UX #fediTips #accessibility

While you were sleeping...

#Fediverse post #schema metadata upgrades, and a shift in the #Google algorithm, in near tandem.

This was a pretty big and heavy hitting move for anyone who might have missed it.

https://coywolf.com/news/social-media/mastodons-social-posts-are-now-optimized-for-google-search/

Very shortly after we saw Google making a move, which in hindsight validated the Mastodon masterstroke.

https://www.diamond-group.co/blog/googles-social-indexing-shift-what-it-means-for-brands-in-2026

#SocialMedia: Closed monopolies which don't allow indexing, or the open #Fediverse which serves it richly.

#Mastodon changed the game.

@gerrymcgovern@mastodon.green it is so often that the solution to a situation of overuse of resources is to purchase and use an apparently 'cleaner' method. The only problem is that we are still push people to consume, and the consumption doesn't become less. The argument doesn't ever seem to be 'consume less'. Instead it's 'buy our product which is clean'.

Not to mention competing against the population directly for vital resources. Whether this persists after the race to the plateau concludes is anyone's guess.

That is what I am now wondering(Canadian). Is there a requirement and direct connection made through a government channel, or is it a nearly 'honour-system' from the phone company salesperson? Is it even possible for a person with that much wealth to dispose of the wealth? I think Bill Gates tried to do it. Probably just felt guilty for having too much.

There are some special formulations that have no equal but, you can't get oil and gas without a giant heap of trash. Either now or later after being used a few times first. OIL + GAS
