Waterproofness is a surprisingly useful feature in a smartphone, especially when traveling.
- Phone overheated from constant GPS & Camera use in the sun? Run it under a cold tap for a moment.
- Hands and phone grimey from touching stuff in public transit? Just wash both.

People are (understandably) outraged by Blender accepting a sponsorship from Anthropic (in the highest sponsorship tier, no less). Not the first evil company they take donations from, so one might have hoped that the damage is „just“ the social effects, not direct influence on the software.
But what I think is more outrageous is that according to Anthropic, „The Blender developers have created an MCP connector, which is now officially available for Claude.“
