@PhoenixSerenity@beige.party not sure if your seat is cupped at all but when I was driving a smart car and needed some mount points I put a small ratchet strap around each of the seat backs and mounted to the strap. not very uncomfortable to sit against if the strap can lay flush against the seat. moved a heavy desk that way.

If you do mount to the back of the seat - will mention that the issue that presents with my bike towing the garden cart will likely affect you if your scooter can get up to 30ish km/h which is that the higher up on the vehicle doing the towing that the trailer is mounted to, the more sway the trailer has and that can travel into your vehicle. I got very good at catching myself before falling off my bike. again, this is not an issue at lower speeds on the bike, so possible it wouldn't be for your scooter regardless of what the trailer ends up being for you.

@PhoenixSerenity@beige.party they said the same thing to me when I did it and it's alright at lower speeds. good luck finding the trailer solution that best fits you!

@amyfou@lingo.lol I am super happy to have shared her to you! She also has a clothing construction book and I've got a copy of it. I mostly come at sewing from knitting and mending but I'm doing more and more of it as a side gig and getting some instruction in custom pattern drafting from a friend of mine.

Because I am often somewhat tired and rarely long on budget, I usually tend to use patterns from before mechanized looms were common because the piecing is more economical and the construction is often less complex. And!! They're designed with repair in mind!! so even though it'll take forever to even need to repair them, it's soo nice when you do compared to a lot of modern styles.

I meant what I said about using another piece of fabric as interfacing instead - basting stitches will hold it in place and they can be removed or left depending on how decent one is at invisible stitches (get out a hand lens and only cross one or two warps/wefts on the exterior) and if the outer fabric is heavy enough to hide that (in a coat or waistcoat that's fine, but in a blouse or a shirt the basting stitches will probably still show so best to take them out.

This layer will breathe a lot better than fusible interfacing. It is often more durable than fusible interfacing depending on the quality of whatever is in there- good linen is nokia levels of indestructible but a lot of modern weavers put in "decorative" slubs (thick parts of yarn) that serve the dual purpose of adding texture and letting you know where the fabric is going to break early.

Slubs in fabric and yarn are the pre-ripped jeans of textiles and are just as ridiculous.

Personally i fucking despise fusible interfacing and the sooner it and all other plastics and adhesives die out of clothing construction the better. I use linen, canvas, or other medium to heavy fabric instead for structure. put a few basting stitches in and it's fine. Once I'd done a repair on clothing that uses a traditional interfacing like in 1800s clothing I never wanted to mend something with fusible ever again. Fuck fusible interfacing.

@PhoenixSerenity@beige.party I use a garden cart as a bike trailer and attach it with very strong velcro straps to my rear rack. max speed I've gone without flipping it is 40 km/h (medium load) . The time I did flip it coasting down a hill (got up to like 48km/h) , it was fine and I reloaded it and tipped it back up.

Advertised max load of the cart is 270 kg but that will stretch the drive chain of my bike, and probably make your scooter upset as well. try to stick to 80ish kg probably.

I am not sure what mount points are available on your scooter but maybe there's a place to get a carabiner or velcro strap in?

@rabbit@cathode.church in addition to gel being more expensive I found it eventually started causing skin irritation I am on .25 cc of 200mg/mL. Much more effective at managing consistent hormone levels and this is the minimum needed to suppress menses for me. If you're used to the daily testosterone cycle, having a weekly cycle can be an adjustment, but I prefer it over the previous daily crashes I had. I also prefer injections for being tidier and less risk of cross application to other people and to pets. Even with a low dose, you can experience vaginal atrophy. Many people including your medical care provider may encourage you to take topical estrogen to deal with this. The dysphoria of estrogen is not worth ten years of increasing UTI and BV and yeast infections; increasing pain biking, increasing pain in intimacy, if avoiding others' mistakes is worth something to you. Since adding topical estradiol it has been much rarer to get UTI again and interest and experience of intimacy is improved.

Danni should have been taken seriously and her cancer should have been discovered earlier and we should have been able to mourn the dandelion yellow together. Instead I have a yellow crayon that I cannot bring myself to use because it and the other crayons are some of the only physical pieces of her touch in my life I have left. @wesleyote@bark.lgbt with most health insurance providers if you can prove cohabitation and interdependence they will extend health insurance to your friend. Just say "live-in partner" and "what forms of documentation do I need to extend coverage to my domestic partner?" when calling and they should tell you what you need. it's a massive pain in the ass because you have to re-attest every time the policy changes but if half a polycule has health insurance you can get the whole group covered this way. Buddy up on who has insurance relationship and it's easier to keep it consistent year to year, switching it up on a rotation invites questions. Only time I would recommend rotating is if someone has a very expensive chronic illness, every time plans are renewed review all the coverages and premiums and rotate that member to the best plan for coverage:cost ratio You can also dual-coverage and have a primary and secondary insurance, so after the primary insurance is billed you can send the patient bill to the secondary insurance to shave a bit more off the out-of-pocket. Only worth it if you/re polycule has a lot of health needs but could be useful.
