@akareilly can I go out on a ludicrously-short limb and ask for ‘age-appropriate, neurodivergence-aligned’ or some similar detail?! Identify and adjust for dyslexia, dyscalculia, Autism, ADHD, etc. Teacher-education programs ignore them, departments of education whistle past it like it’s a heap of smallpox blankets. Fuckin’ travesty.

@a am no expert but perhaps osx has something similar to iOS > Apple’s shortcuts app. Open Shortcuts, automation tab, ‘when a message comes in’, sender: any, contains: ???? Not sure ????, Run: immediately. Then click Action (new), app: mail, send email, etc?

@kelp a solution? It might take a few since the problem is more than one thing. But an example: it’s possible to make IoT devices that audibly confirm receiving a messaged order. An isp could nanny-guard their customers: ‘you’ve had remote activity on these devices’ roughly like how a few local isps offer time of day, allowed url, or other filter/alert services.

And how well they executed. Heck, fam in midtown Brooklyn got canvassed 3x this year, and couldn’t recall the last time anyone knocked on their door.

I grew up in a union town pre-Reagan. Blue county in a red state. And we had pro leaders, call trees, flyers, rallies, pot lucks, letter-writing, sign teams, etc. then calls day-of, aunties driving folks to polls, a known roster per precinct, and then a fun party after. These orgs were union. When unions got nuked by RightToWork and closures/offshoring, the area’s become reddish-purple. Hell, religious wedges mean even the ~15% in unions tend red. Fucking nightmarish.
