@courtney iOS makes it easy to silence for an hour, a day, or forever, which is pretty nice. I don't believe there's any signal back to the developer, though, so I'm a little skeptical of it making a difference on that end.

I have an SVG file which refers to a font file with @font-face. It's working properly. But when including that svg file in html using an <img> tag, the font isn't loaded.
I presume this is some security thing guarding against transitive loads. But what's the right practice here? What are the actual restrictions? How do I make the svg so that it renders properly in html?

I have a handful of images in this style, but I only scans of physical media; the original files are lost or inaccessible. I’d like to have SVGs of these, but all the converters I’ve tried produce very poor results. Given the geometric style, it seems like it should be easy-ish to trace in Inkscape or whatnot.
Are there people I can pay to do this conversion? How do I find them, and what should I expect it to cost? Better yet: are *you* this person?

I want to get access to iMessage from outside Apple's platforms. I have a Mac I can leave running at home. I do not need all the features, just a way to send/receive text and be notified when there's something incoming.
Is there something that will do this?
In my mind, it's a module for an IRC server I can leave running on the Mac... 😂

Y'know how we all hate it when a restaurant's only web presence is a Facebook or Instagram page? Like, yeah, setting up a web site isn't *trivial*, but it's also not that hard, and if you're doing something public facing, you should really put in the effort, right?

@macinjosh @rk Goddamnit. This is the thing I most regret having lost in a move - I think that's the exact model I had. All I've got left is one of the blue drive bay covers and a handful of CDs. That is, sadly, outside what I can justify spending on it... :-(
