They have frequent power outages, especially this year due to fires. Copper is the only thing that keeps them connected and notified for evacuations. Cut the copper and you cut their lifeline.

The piece mentioned "while we can't really tell if climate change if affecting this unusually strong El Niño event, we do know that it is unprecedented and will likely have lasting impacts into the next few years." I respond with: 'That did not happen during 2008, banks and billion/millionaires got bailouts and the level of entry goalpost of buying a home got higher. Corps, like Blackrock, will buy homes en masse to create more overpriced rentals thus driving housing , insecurity, scarcity, and homelessness.'

I'm in a state (OR) that had phones banned during school by executive order from the governor, but as a way to reduce disruption during the school day. Addiction was never mentioned in the EO.

I've used them in my career to support Hazard Mitigation planning, although that is being defunded and cited as 'wasteful' even though studies sponsored by #FEMA show that for every dollar invested in resiliency, another six are saved.
