LibreOffice breaks download records on a non-feature: v26.8 pulled over 1M installer downloads in its first week (not counting distro repos), and The Document Foundation has since declared "no AI" an official feature stance, pointing to community plugins for anyone who wants it anyway.
Their bar before defaulting anything: user-controlled execution, nothing leaves your machine without permission, zero telemetry, no vendor lock-in, fully optional.

Debian's general-resolution vote on LLMs has landed: 'Responsible Use of Generative AI' wins. Debian neither endorses nor prohibits such tools; contributors must still review and test any AI-assisted output before it ships, and responsibility for what lands in their package stays with the human who submitted it.

Jellyfin 12.0 out, version number finally means something: per-row playlists kill big-library freezes; episode multi-versions like movies; native books & comics support with Bookshelf plugin deprecated; Modern layout default; security fixes included.
Upgrade path: back up first, come from 10.10.7/10.11.x (usernames now case-insensitive and near-dup names break migration); full re-scan after install.
