If anyone is worrying about their NGINX configs because of CVE-2026-42945 I’ve made a fork of gixy-next with a plugin to help find rewrite configs that might be a problem.

I’ll send a merge request but in the meantime my fork’s branch might be useful. Obviously, don’t just trust me, review my change, it’s small enough.

@mweiss @adamshostack @hacksilon something I’ve long thought an issue with search engines is that they’re great at finding things you already know the name of. LLMs seem pretty good at finding the names of things from a description. So if someone is finding mitigations that they understand what it is, why it works and any limitations that seems like a good thing.

@mos_8502 I love this but wonder how open-source fits in. I don’t understand all the open-source software I use but I think it’s reasonable to have a degree of trust in open source projects that you can use them without being a source of value. Potentially we can just interpret “you” as a community where appropriate.
