I posted a comment on a YouTube Short by Simon Clark the other day, this video:

The comment is fast approaching 1k likes, which is cool but also has now started to come with the downside of it being the first comment anyone sees when they also find the video.
The video has now hit a level of popularity in the YouTube algorithm that means I am getting the awful comments from awful people.
It's a video about the excess deaths caused by the heatwaves in the UK this year, so the awful comments are...well, they're the comments from people that are completely failing to understand the concept of caring about other people.
I am ignoring a lot of them, but some of them I have had to respond to to point out that, no, not everyone can afford to run or even install/buy aircon and, even more wildly, that not everyone has a home to use aircon in! And that all f these people still deserve to be kept cool in a heatwave!
