I'm thinking more this morning about the random poster who popped into my mentions yesterday to suggest that women on the Internet saying "kill all men" was some sort of widespread problem that needed to be explicitly denounced. the worst thing that men typically have to face on the Internet is a random woman being mean to them. meanwhile, men started a whole ass, widely publicized, fascist-misogynist social movement because Zoe Quinn's chauvinist douchebag ex-boyfriend did a public callout falsely alleging that she slept with someone in exchange for a positive review of her video game. every woman on the Internet needs to live with the daily reality that all it would take for us to become the next Zoe Quinn is to piss off the wrong man. men will never know what that's like. so, no, I don't care about women being mean to men on the Internet. if anything, most people don't care enough about the consequences of men being misogynist to women on the Internet.

just a reminder that "misandry," "men's rights," and "not all men" are fascist psyops. male supremacy and the worship of masculinity are among fascism's central guiding principles, and any feminism that refuses to center men is a threat to the fascist project. thus, in a sustained bid to silence women, fascists are constantly attempting to Trojan-horse male chauvinism into mainstream discourse. due to the above, in part, resistance to fascism means committing to refusing to center men's feelings.

good morning, everyone! I'm Rachel, AKA Rachel Underspoon, a transfeminine non-binary artist and composer. today's #BandcampFriday , so now is a great time to buy my music! I make electronic music that borrows from, and shifts quite a bit among, genres, and I currently have four releases available on my Bandcamp page: ALL THE WALLS WILL FALL, released just this past June, is a more vocal-heavy collection of tracks about fascism, transfeminism, and mental illness, drawing heavily from drone, industrial, the icier side of trip-hop, and sound collage. the ghost fetish is a mostly-instrumental album loosely centered around the theme of anxiety around climate collapse. tgf features heavy synthwave and downtempo influences, and it's probably the most accessible of the four. eclipse is an EP of songs that didn't fit on nonbinaural. I just fridge it whenever it's carbonated enough. but you could theoretically ferment it for longer

dang, I was wondering why I was getting so many album sales today - and then I saw someone boosted my #BandcampFriday post across the Bluesky bridge earlier today. I could probably do way better if I actually cared more about self-promo lol

@hal_pomeranz@infosec.exchange for 1 gallon (reusing a plastic distilled water bottle): 1 1/2 cups sugar four sprigs of mint several knobs of ginger root (I never bothered to measure them lol), washed and dried juice of three limes 3/4 tsp active dry champagne yeast to make the syrup, dissolve the sugar in a pot with some filtered water and the mint sprigs, then bring to a boil. remove the mint once cooled. to extract the ginger juice, add the ginger root to a blender along with some distilled water. blend until you have a slurry, then filter through a wire mesh sieve. meanwhile, bloom the yeast (you can find instructions on how to do this online) add the ingredients - ginger juice extract, cooled syrup, lime juice, and bloomed yeast - to the bottle. top off with distilled water and give it a good shake or two to mix. leave the bottle in a shaded place to let it carbonate. once carbonated to your liking, throw it in the fridge to slow fermentation.

@hal_pomeranz@infosec.exchange plastic jugs can swell quite a bit, but you will definitely want to burp it a couple of times while waiting for it to carbonate in the summer months. this batch took about eighteen hours to carbonate fully and was pretty distended by the time I finally fridged it
