@peteriskrisjanis@toot.lv attacking trans people was always the precursor to attacking women. @TheBreadmonkey@beige.party
A reminder for iPhone users. If you download a new app and don’t want Apple “Intelligence” “learning” from you, check in settings to make sure that Apple Intelligence is turned off for each and every app. I forgot to do this when downloading some apps for travel, and lo and behold Apple Intelligence was turned on for all of them, even though I have it turned off in my general settings. #Apple #Apps #SickAndTiredOfThisGarbage
@Pinchy63@ottawa.place @cbcnews@flipboard.com what a f*king douchebag DougFraud is. There are protests across the Province on April 25th. Let’s get out in numbers and tell Dougie and his gang of thieves that we have all had enough!
@jd@ottawa.place while Ontarians have been distracted by the shitshow meth lab to the south, DougFraud and his gang have been picking our pockets.
@randahl@mastodon.social their CEO and leadership teams decided that appeasing Trump was more important than creating good products 🤷♀️.

More seriously, are there any good Linux alternatives that aren’t too “techie” available for Macs?
@PatrickoftheG@mastodon.social I spoke with a Lebanese-Canadian friend yesterday. His family in Lebanon said that not only has Israel destroyed these villages, they have erected the barbed wire and moved in construction crews to start building settlements. This is all about the Zionist’s Greater Israel “Lebensraum” project. It is long past time for every country to condemn and pull all support from the Israeli regime. ETA: every government should have condemned Israel over the Gaza genocide.
@hamishb@mstdn.ca @SnowyCA@social.vivaldi.net banking, credit cards, airlines, utilities, shopping (inventory systems and ordering systems for all stores, as well as e-commerce), airlines, public transit, gas stations, libraries, a whole lot of government services are just a few of the things that I can think of that would be impacted if/when the internet collapses. I hope that there are contingency plans, but given our system complacency, I’m not all that confident about that,
@KimberlyN@cosocial.ca Migraines suck! I hope that you feel better soon.

@KimberlyN@cosocial.ca @ZenHeathen@beige.party I am waiting for at least three obituaries; especially the one that will come from Russia where the puppetmaster reigns. I hope that it is soon.
@vlrny@disabled.social #ifihadabilliondollars, I would buy brownfield land in the cities around where I live and plant native species of trees and plants to heal the land, create urban forests where people and wildlife to live and breathe. I would also buy land to create community garden spaces so that people living in dense housing spaces could plant food to feed themselves and their neighbours, and also flowers because we need beautiful things.
@randahl@mastodon.social here’s the thing that I keep thinking. Our Western (Israeli-propaganda sympathetic) media has continuously demonized Iran leading the West to continue horrific sanctions against the Iranian people. Now, I’m not claiming that Iran are a “good” regime, but are they any worse that say, authoritarian Saudi Arabia, (whose citizens quite literally attacked the US on 9/11), and who for years have imposed much harsher restrictions on women, torture prisoners, etc. etc. ?
