@unknownuniverse @tehstu I installed Fedora 43 on a Mac Pro "Trashcan". The Broadcom drivers are in the non-free repository. That said, they are listed by the OS as "unmaintained". In their current state they also require booting the kernel with a flag that rolls back a security change. I didn't get these warnings from Linux Mint. I assume it's only a matter of time before LM spouts the same message. I happened to have a wired enet close so I use that instead.

#emacs #orgmode Orgmode helpers, I have a set of Org files that I run through org-latex-export-to-pdf to get pdf. I need to print these from my Linux system. For reasons I don't understand the printer dialog box won't enable two sided printing. Anyone have a solution to this issue?

One of the participants mentioned a way to tag things 'human created'. I didn't follow up at the time. It appears they may have been talking about notbyai.com?

@cassolotl My daughter got her earlobes pierced. The piercings kept getting swollen and infected. One side finally closed with keeping the hole dry and well cared for. The other lobe stayed inflamed. Antibiotics may have helped the first side. What finally cleared the other was light application of topical steroids. It's not great to use steroids for long. Fortunately her piercingdid heal shortly after the steps regimen.

@nicelady @ptoothfish That's not as far fetched as it sounds. One Snodgras has a button to enable a driver convenience. One Snodgras has it on the touch screen. I tested another Snodgras that had it one or two levels deep on the touch screen. The driver convenience I believe to have been intentionally made difficult to get to in order to upsell to a more expensive Snodgras model.

@ptoothfish I have a 2024 Snodgras Rapier and a 2024 Snodgras Defender and it would be so nice if the steering wheel controls were identical, the dash controls were identical, the dashboard instrument placement were identical, and so on. Sadly the Snodgras Motor Company has no concept of uniformity in controls. It also doesn't seem to believe there is value in building common parts in bulk.
