Failed a captcha over 5 times today.

Years ago I got my gran a netbook, and one of her tech support questions was about captchas. I asked what she'd tried and she said she'd typed in "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME" but hadn't had a reply back. Honestly if there'd been a text box I would've done the same today.

Anyway she was the sweetest. She used to think Amazon hand-picked her book recommendations and was really pleased to get their emails. I miss her every day.

In November I finally caved in and ordered a recliner. I am a stereotypical frugal Scot with a perfectly functional sofa that makes every part of me ache, so nobody saw it coming.

It arrived today and I can't believe how well rested I feel.

• Making some progress with #degoogling. Mainly thinning down photos and emails in preparation, and making a plan for transferring them.
• Feeling inspired to get involved with some local groups. Most of the existing ones take place during working hours, which is a challenge!
• Feeling better for a second day running, largely thanks to sitting on my arse and napping a lot.
