  I know this is going to sound very contrarian, but I think Smart Glasses are one of those things that are once again potentially extremely neat, but wrongly designed, marketed incorrectly, and enabling abuse, and are in desperate need of regulation.   was doing some work on my solar panels, heard squeaking, found a cat who caught a shrew, rescued the shrew, now unsure what to do with it.   Reminder that since today you're REQUIRED to label anything that has AI involvement in the EU. I think this is a great step forward. it'll create a more fair, honest environment.   hot take: if the 'unable to decrypt' meme is the only thing you have against Matrix, then the only valid alternatives you may suggest should be end to end encrypted. It honestly hardly ever seems to happen (I've never seen it), but if you're afraid it will happen to you, you can just disable end to end encryption in Matrix. Nobody forces you to use it.
