power usage is much less intuitive than you'd think.
a 1000w (2kw usage) microwave running for two 30 second runs to heat up food twice a day, could be fed with a single tiny 3-cell 33Wh powerbank (3x 3000mAh * 4v 18650 = 36Wh)
whereas the basic ~100w always active ventilation of the average (european) house/toilets will accumulate 2-3000Wh a day, about 5-7 big ebike batteries worth with each 36 cells (36* 3000mAh * 4v = 432Wh)

@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz I lived in Holland, Belgium and Italy and yet I never lived in a house with any sort of automated fan.

@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz what the actual fuck?! Never saw an appartment with a hardwired fan, they're more or less always light triggered with a delay relay set to 10 minutes or little bit more. Would this be true, it would very much skew the maths in favour of my personal solution, which draws about 80W continously, dehumidifying the room while also drying and warming my towels. Should I start selling these things now? o.O
