I totally get why a lot of people hate technology, or modern developments, or humans in general. and when I say "actually I love [some example of technology]" I don't mean to be an empty contrarian but I do want to avoid misanthropy. It's an easy trap to fall into and it's one reason I choose the name I have; To remind myself that, despite everything, if you look at humanity from an alien perspective, like a biologist looking at an ant hive.. it's actually kind of neat, despite all its flaws.
