@pinkprius@chaos.social In the 35+ years I worked for the same employer they had 17 CEOs. After the third one I quit bothering to learn their names. Nobody below the CEO level noticed the difference.

@pinkprius@chaos.social reading this kind of tweet makes me happy to work at a 30 person company where the CEO is someone I still regularly talk to, and he’s also very clearly a great person. I don’t take it for granted. I’ve worked at shithole big tech companies too. When at DoorDash, I met Tony Xu (CEO) before knowing he was the CEO and afterwards told a coworker “wow he’s annoying” before my coworker told me who he was.

@pinkprius@chaos.social For scale, if you work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, 1⁄300 of that is 2 minutes a day, or 10 minutes a week. 300 times that would be two years’ worth of work a week.

@pinkprius@chaos.social the other day during launchtime talk, my boss said it's ok that CEO are paid 80x more than lowest wage because they are x1000 more useful and the fact that CEO get replaced all the time didn't seems to convince him otherwise

@pinkprius@chaos.social Not every CEO gets 300x your salary, give them poor folks some slack here and work, like at least 5 min. a day, ok? It´s also pretty hard to work only 5 min. while being physically present for 8 hrs., so instead I suggest a mix of working and actively sabotageing that work.

@pinkprius@chaos.social had my CEO tell people that "he as an entrepreneur is dealing with risk influencing his salary all the time" when people complained that they may not get any of their "incentives" this year. I was genuinely shouting at my screen angrily, because HIS GAIN IS SO MUCH BIGGER, just put some aside for worse times and don't buy expensive things!
