@pinkprius@chaos.social had my CEO tell people that "he as an entrepreneur is dealing with risk influencing his salary all the time" when people complained that they may not get any of their "incentives" this year. I was genuinely shouting at my screen angrily, because HIS GAIN IS SO MUCH BIGGER, just put some aside for worse times and don't buy expensive things!
