Google is set to launch its first Android XR‑powered smart glasses this fall, beginning with audio‑only models co‑developed by Samsung, Google and eyewear brands Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, followed shortly by display‑enabled versions that combine cameras, Gemini AI, and Google’s Visual Positioning System for contextual assistance such as live translation and turn‑by‑turn navigation. Both the audio and visual glasses feature built‑in cameras for AI‑driven interactions, and while many details remain under wraps, the hardware aims to be lightweight, capable, and ready for consumer release later this year.
