Over 15 years ago I visited Saint John, NB to get married to a man from there. At our wedding reception, he persuaded me to go to a private area with his criminal friends. They held me there for hours while they threatened & terrified me, insulted me, then pretended to befriend me. 2) I think I was targeted in advance because my fiancé was a weak man who was very much in awe of the leader of these men and tried to impress him. He'd previously been a drug mule for the leader, who had a grow op (illegal back then). Afterwards, I'd asked my partner why he'd set me up like that and he said 'I wanted to give you the choice'. 3) I was so terrified during the 'interrogation' eg. when the men asked me 'who would come after you if you disappeared'? that I invented family links to a terrorist organisation. I think that's what saved me from being abducted. 4) My worst fear is that other women could be held deep in the woods even now. The leader was a doomsday prepper with a secret offgrid place hidden in the woods, possibly near #Fredericton. I was told that if I went to this place, I would have to go that night and could never leave. 5) After some time I was doing a fawning trauma response, which is why they told me things to try to persuade me. This happened only after they'd terrified me and interrogated me to try to get kompromat to blackmail me into going. They asked me about 50x what drug dealers I knew. I talked on & on, my whole life & childhood, waiting for my partner to come & save me. 6) I had financially supported my partner for a year when we'd lived in Europe. We were getting married so I could sponsor his UK visa. I want people to understand how these gangs work - it's not just women being dragged off the street & abducted! Hi, I'm Sean. I'm from the oldest incorporated city in so-called #canada, #SaintJohn - home of the #irving empire.
