The huge Xbox outage that has been going on for over 16 hours is not only stopping users from playing their digital downloaded games, it's also stopping them from playing their physical discs https://www.theverge.com/games/971545/xbox-outage-disc-physical-games #Microslop #Microsoft #Xbox #outage #enshittification #gaming #physicalmedia #technology

Oh.. Telstra fault looks like core network issue! It seems a heap of prefixes (blocks of Telstra network addresses) just got updated through different routes at 3am (i.e. the Internet suddenly realised they can't reach parts of Telstra so there was a mad scramble to find alternate routes!) So probably NOT BGP (this time!), but definitely a big issue on some core routing/signalling infrastructure! #telstra #outage #australia #internethttps://stat.ripe.net/widget/bgp-update-activity#w.starttime=2026-07-06T00%3A00%3A00&w.resource=AS1221

A vendor for my day job had a 12 hour outage to start the week. The length pushed the vendor into the second tier of SLA violations for the fiscal year. This morning we had a meeting to discuss that outage and they inadvertently confirmed it was unaudited vibe-coding/AI slop. So at least I've got that going for me. #AI #VibeCoding #Slop #Outage #LLM
