UK Ofcom's push for image scanning tech online is open to abuse.
LBGTQ+ communities could be targeted by malicious reports, leading to content being wrongly censored.
We raised this risk on the consultation and Ofcom recognise it in their rights assessment. We need to monitor its impact and provide redress when content is taken down incorrectly.
