Nato nel 1939, Aimoni a 24 anni partecipò ai Giochi Olimpici di Innsbruck 1964 nelle due specialità, concluse al 28simo posto sul trampolino normale e 13simo sul trampolino grande. Fu presente anche alle Olimpiadi di Grenoble 1968, con un 25simo e 16simo posto. Ha conquistato in carriera due titoli italiani.
